I have been in the fire protection business for just over 25 years, 17 of those running Spectrum Fire with my business partner and oldest friend Simon, we were at infant’s school together! When I left school I began my four year mechanics apprenticeship, one year at a local garage and then the final three at Mercedes, Park Royal. I then had an array of jobs, bakery delivery driver, working in a double glazing factory, car valeter to name a few. I also had a very small mechanics business throughout this time ‘’Dave’s Autos”.
Happily married for 25 years with one 18 year old son. Family is everything to me. Really enjoy meeting and exceeding all customers’ expectations, large or small. I still believe customer service is king. I enjoy spending time with my family, love holidays and am lucky enough to realise my passion in cars.
I began my journey in fire safety back in 1986 as a fire extinguisher engineer. In 2000 I started Spectrum Fire UK with my long term friend of 40 or so years David Horam with an aim to provide a great service without dishonest sales targets. I have never understood the “won’t happen to my company or I will let it burn” attitude of some, as fire ruins businesses and lives.
In my spare time I enjoy family life, wife, two boys and recent addition a dog. Practicing American Kickboxing I have achieved black belt 2nd Dan and also teach this to my two boys and a handful of other students.
From a background in Telecommunications I have been working in Fire Safety now for 13 years focusing mainly on Fire Alarm systems. I have experience in servicing, installation, design and commissioning across most fire alarm systems and emergency lighting, fire extinguishers and safety signage. In 2014 I attended and passed the Fire Manager Certificate enabling me to become the company’s 2nd Fire Risk Assessor.
My interests are building computers, karting and I am an Assistant Section Leader with the Cub Scouts.
I have been working in the fire protection industry for 15 years and have a good knowledge of many fire alarm systems. At work I enjoy providing great customer service and providing solutions to customer needs, according to latest standards.
Enjoy family life, love my wife and daughter, when I need to get away from it all I like being outside , golfing and fishing, going for country walks with family.
